The difference between equal and unequal steel angles
Steel angles are available in two specific types: equal and unequal, this is something which can often cause confusion. Fortunately, the differences are relatively simple.
The first thing to note is that this naming convention has nothing to do with the angle of the steel, which is always fixed at 90 degrees. Instead, equal steel angles have sides of an equal length, whereas unequal steel angles have sides of a different length.
