About our solid steel bars
Our solid round and square steel bars are a reliable alternative to hollow steel sections when your project requires steel with extra solidity. Being this solid does come at a price, however.
Unlike hollow sections, solid bars can get very heavy incredibly quickly. Because of this, they’ll commonly top out at 100mm – where just 16 metres of solid round bars would equate to a tonne of steel. Our wide range of size options does allow you to adjust this, however, with our smallest bars enabling you to get 4,500 metres of bar before one tonne of weight is reached.
As a result of this, we work closely with our customer to ensure you receive the perfect size for your project. If we know a smaller cross section of steel will meet your needs our specialist team will advise you.
