About Us

James Dunkerley Steels Limited was established in 1980 and aimed to supply steel products to communities in areas of Lancashire, before expanding into Yorkshire with the opening of a regional depot in 1985.

In both regions, Dunkerley went on to establish strong links with local engineers, fabricators, builders and developers, allowing us to go from strength to strength.

This led us to open our national civils division in 1997, allowing us to supply new and reusable structural steel across the UK and Eire.

Our comprehensive stocks include the full range of all universal beams, RSJ’s, universal columns, angles, channels, flats, solid round/square bars, circular, square and rectangular hollow sections, sheets, plates, road plates, pipes and tubes which are all available for immediate collection or delivery.

Flame cutting to length has always been standard but with the arrival of our steel fabrication shop, we have now extended our services to include sawing, mitre cutting, welding, drilling, painting and all general light fabrication services, making us the complete one stop supplier.
